The National Youth Jazz Orchestra is well known throughout the world as a glittering showcase for the country's best young musicians. During the orchestra's 45 year history most of the rising generation of jazz musicians have passed through its ranks. One of NYJO's aims is to share the talents of these exciting young players with as wide an audience as possible and under its founding Musical Director, Bill Ashton MBE, NYJO has performed many hundreds of concerts all over Britain and visited most European countries as well as the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Having opened their current season at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club you can be assured of a foot tapping afternoon of jazz with NYJO.
