Is ‘Bypass’ a diversion or decoy; is it liberated or overcrowded? Is it an instruction or a suggestion; is it quicker, more direct and more efficient? Highways bring visitors and take commuters; they’re for fleeing fugitives and homecoming daytrippers. Robert Dawson and Steve Bunn have new work that explores distance, remoteness and location.
