This beginner’s hand embroidery workshop will introduce you to a number of simple and intermediate hand embroidery stitches.
We will experiment with all the stitches together during the class on your choice of either a flower or leaf motif, starting with the very simple and then exploring some slightly more complex combinations. We will also aim to add a few embellishments and spangles to enhance your embroidery. By the end of the workshop, you should feel confident to complete any unfinished work at home. The design can then be used as a patch to embellish clothing or mounted in either a hoop or frame.
A design kit including fabric, threads, needle, embroidery hoop, embellishments and stitch plan will be provided, with pencils and scissors available to borrow. Please feel free to bring embroidery scissors, hoops etc. with you if you have them and a notebook and pencil will be useful to make notes.
Duration: 10am - 1pm
Age Guide: 18+

All tickets must be booked in advance.
There is no need to print or collect a ticket as the team will have a record of those who have booked. Booking for workshops and courses close 24 hours before the start time. Please note we reserve the right to cancel any course or workshop if the minimum numbers are not met. If we are not able to run a workshop you will be informed three working days ahead of the course or workshop start date.
