Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I park?

There are a number of town centre car parks near the Corn Exchange, £1 payable (pay on foot/exit) after 6pm; parking is free on Sundays. At New Greenham Arts there is a large, free car park at the front of the building.

What are the Box Office opening times?

We are open Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm, and remain open until the last show on performance days (so generally until around 8.30pm Tuesday-Saturday). On a Sunday (or Bank Holiday) we open one hour before the first performance.

What time should I pick up my tickets?

Please collect your tickets no later than 15 minutes before the start of the performance.

Where do I pick up my tickets?

You can collect your tickets from the Corn Exchange Box Office, or at the door from one hour before if the show is at another venue.

Can I get a refund if I can't come to a performance?

All tickets are non-refundable except in the case of a cancelled event; in the case of a sold-out show £1 per ticket will be payable on tickets returned for resale.

What are family tickets?

Where family tickets are available a family consists of four people.

Who is eligible for concession tickets?

Those eligible for concession tickets include (with proof) ages under 19, senior citizens, full-time students, benefit and family credit claimants, key workers, Equity cardholders and Registered Disabled. Please book through the Box Office for concessions that are not available online.

What time will I be able to go to my seat?

The auditorium is usually open 15-20 minutes before the performance, but this depends on the show and requests of visiting companies.

Will I be allowed in if I arrive late?

Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable point in the performance.

Can I choose the seats I want when I book online?

You can pick specific seats when booking online for all venues where seating is allocated. Please note you will not be allowed to leave single seats when choosing your seats, as they are very hard for us to sell.

Is there a dress code?

No, there is no dress code for events at the Corn Exchange or New Greenham Arts.

Will there be an interval?

Most of our shows include a 20 minute interval; we indicate online and in our season brochure if there is not going to be one. Please note that this can be subject to change; please check with the Box Office on the day of the performance if you need confirmation.

How long is the show?

The approximate finish time of each individual show is given online and in our season brochure. Please note that these are subject to change; please check with the Box Office on the day of the performance if you need an updated duration.

Are there any booking fees?

There are no compulsory booking fees for telephone, online, postal or in person booking. We charge £1 postage if you elect to have your tickets sent to you.

Do you sell Gift Vouchers?

We sell Gift Vouchers that can be used to purchase tickets at the Corn Exchange. We do not sell National Theatre Tokens.

How do I know if the show is suitable for children?

We always try to give an age guidance for family shows and to give age guidance if there is language or subject matter that is not suitable for all ages. Please ask the Box Office when booking and they will be able to advise on particular shows.

Can I bring my baby?

The Box Office can advise if a performance is suitable for you to bring babies and where the best place to sit is. We charge a £1 administration fee for babes-in-arms.

What are the opening times for the cafe and bar?

Seasons cafe is open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday. The bar is open one hour before most performances.

Do you serve food?

Seasons cafe at the Corn Exchange is open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday; in the evening we serve bar snacks but not whole meals. At New Greenham Arts the tandoori restaurant is open daily 12pm-2pm and 5.30pm-11.30pm.

Can I pre-order interval drinks?

You can pre-order interval drinks at the bar from one hour before the performance. Food and drink purchased on the premises may be taken in the auditorium; please ask for a plastic glass.

Can I film or record the shows?

Due to copyright law the use of all photographic/recording equipment (including mobile phones) is strictly prohibited.

Can I use my mobile phone in the auditorium?

No, please remember to turn off all mobile phones, pagers & watch alarms before entering the auditorium.

Is there a cut off date when you stop posting tickets?

We usually stop posting tickets five days before a performance,

Can I request a particular show or film?

If you would like to suggest a particular show or film we would be delighted to hear from you, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to include it in the programme. Please use the contact form to let us know your request.

Can I take food and drink into the auditorium?

Food and drink purchased on the premises may be taken in the auditorium; please ask for a plastic glass.
